I once worked as a programmer and often compare certain manifestations of reality to programming code.
Do you know why applications "freeze"?
Depending on the choice, the program executes certain commands and functions.
Similarly, there are loops in which an action is repeated N number of times.
But if an error is made within the loop, the program cannot break out of it and will execute it endlessly.
Or at least until we forcibly close the application. So, eternity is a mistake.
The program continues to work as long as there is a choice. This means that to escape from eternity, one must stop choosing, that is, stop the thought.
Deep meditation, which halts thought, is an attempt to escape from eternity.
Why an attempt? Because the meditator can only stop the thought for a moment, then makes a choice again, and everything starts moving once more.
